Ella Joy Meir is a New York City-based film and TV composer, singer-songwriter, and music producer known for her evocative and vibrant approach to scoring dramas, thrillers, and documentaries. Her work includes the drama Liminally Yours, directed by Jacob Rohrbach, song production for the documentary I Will Build This World From Love by award-winning director John Block, additional music for the acclaimed documentary CAUTIVADAS and songwriting for the dramas Remember When and An Hour Past a Lifetime. Her music is also featured in the popular series Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness (Queer Eye). She is currently scoring a pilot of a dark comedy-drama series created by award-winning director Julia Barrett-Mitchell, as well as for a documentary project led by renowned filmmaker Jesse Epstein.
Recently, Ella contributed over 180 tracks to the Meta Sound Collection, spanning genres from classical to EDM, pop, cinematic, and Middle Eastern music. Her work has reached a vast audience, with tracks featured in numerous viral videos accumulating hundreds of millions of views.
